A YEAR RELAXER FREE!!!!
As of the end of feb 2012 marked my one year being relaxer free. I didn’t even notice because I’m drowned in school. I’m coming to the end of my spring break, and realized I didn’t post anything about being one year relaxer free. Im one year and almost one month relaxer free and I don’t regret any minute of it. Yeah, I had some really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really ROUGH moments but I got through it ( I don’t know how as I think back on it lol but I did).
I’ve been rocking box braids/singles since the end of Christmas break and my hair as grown some. It’s exciting to actually see growth now since I did my big chop on Dec 5, 2011. I had my braids in for 3 months and I loved it. Earlier this week I washed and deep conditioned my hair over night then moisturized and did mini twists, which is parted and prepped for my box braids & letting my hair breathe at the same time. My plan is to rock box braids/singles until the summer (the end of June) then rock a fro or mini twist to get use to wearing my natural hair. Depending on how that goes I will wear my hair for the whole summer and then do box braids again.

Enough with my hair plans…for now Lol

Just realized it Feb 1st, 2012 and WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?, you ask. Well, at the end of the month It will be 1 WHOLE YEAR since I’ve had a relaxer!!!!! When I decided to go natural I thought this moment would take forever to accomplish just because a year is a long time. I was so determined to be relaxer free and it was/is one of the many best decisions I’ve ever made in my life for myself.
